Orange Box Tomorrow!
Just a reminder that 'Moontown' are playing tomorrow night at the Orange Box in Yeovil! It's a retrogression event so come on down! Support Moontown and the other acts!

Ok, sorry for lack of blog, loads on!!! We are now in ITUNES!!!!
WE ARE ON ITUNES!!!!! YEAH! Finally, after years of making music, we've decided to try and sell some. Feel free to buy as many tracks and as many times as you like.
Feel free also to let us know what you think of them. All critcism welcome!!!
Getting ready for one day fest in our home town in august(im organising it). Got another one day fest around the same time in Kingston Maurward. Got a tour to organise. Got gigs left right and centre. Got a HUGE gig at the ORANGE BOX in yeovil(Franz Ferdinand have played there) on the 28th march and tickets are on sale now!!!
Will keep you posted re other events and happenings as and when they arise!.

Goooood Loooord!
What a messy one!!! We had our regular live music night(RETROGRESSION) in Dorchester on sat eve. Ahem, I think it went well. I'll wait until I hear differently but I don't remember much!
I'm still recovering now.
I enjoyed myself as did all who played and came to watch. I love putting on events and even more so when they go well like sat did.
Weve got a great following now and can pretty much guarantee a packed evening full of great music, laughter and merriment! You should all come to one before you die. Put it under"things to do before you die" category in your life calendar.
About to sort out press and radio coverage of events, promo dvd to get RETROGRESSION in as many venues as possible all over the south coast.
If you know a venue that would be suitable near you, get i touch and we'll organise a gig in your home town!
Will be back with more info when I can remember it.

Here's a tip for al bands out there...
When doing a gig a long way from home for no money. Ensure you have a good gig by.. TAKING YOUR OWN SOUNDMAN OR ME!!!! DO NOT RELY ON THE INCOMPETENT W*NKERS SUPPLIED BY THE CHEAP ASS OWNERS!!!!!
Seriously, great gig, people loved it but we sounded sh)te because the soundman was a numpty. Beethoven could have done a better job and he was deaf and is dead!!!!
GRRRRRRR!!!! Rant over but it annoys us when we put time into putting on a show and one spanner can mess it all up through incompetence. If you're going to be a soundman(as I am for our nights) LEARN YOUR SUBJECT(as I did). IF YOU DO A BAD JOB ON THE SOUND YOU ARE NOT A SOUNDMAN, YOU ARE JUST A MAN!!!!
Any hooooo, onwards and upwards. We made some great contacts including a man who worked with RZA, Estelle and Sade!!!! Gonna hook up with him for some projects and live music events too so not an entirely wasted gig.
Thanks to Simon for his hospitality and for putting us on. Thanks to the soundman for screwing up hours of very hard work. Thanks to our friends who came(seriously) you made it worthwhile and we managed to get about 15 people there(considering there were only about 60 in the bar!!!), which, for a band from Dorset, is pretty good! Thanks to Emma and G for doing what they do and mayb next time Ville?

Were off to Fulhams premier nightspot-The RAMSHACKLE to rock the hell out of them! Really excited as got our manager coming to watch for the first time with guests and we've managed to get 20 people to accompany us!!! That is quite a task as we live 125 miles from london so think we deserve a pat on the back for that one.
Will keep you informed as to how it went but can probably predict the night beforehand.
Here goes-leave at three amidst utter carnage as we desperately make sure we have all the equipment. Leave about 4 when Emma is finally ready. Stop for KFC at Fleet services(ALWAYS!!!). Hit m25. STOP for hours as we try to negotiate the worst road in the world. Get lost, pay congestion charge. Arrive. Unpack frantically as we'll be late. Try and find parking in Fulham high st(gonna happen!). Do twenty min slot, pack up and leave. Travel home for three hours!

Today.....
I am preparing the backing tracks for our gig in Fulham tomorrow eve. Will be playing our brand spanking new EP plus unheard new tracks!!! Got a whole day of tidying and sorting out of tracks, backing tracks and backing tracks with guitar parts due to our guitarist not being able to make it to the gig the following day.
Not that any of it matters any more as I'm now convinced we are all in fact controlled by lizards and are all going to die in 2012!

Ok, am I doing this wrong?
I am going to leave a post up every day detailing band goings one etc and random other info to do with the band and many other subjects.
We are in the process of signing contracts today, ready for the release of our ep on Itunes at the end of the month. It's a tricky business and I can forsee many DISCUSSIONS pertaining to who owns/gets what. I'm sure all bands have this problem when it comes to signing your life away!
The Animal Farm(the company helping us to get where we need to be and the guys who recorded our songs!!!) are being really sound and are the complete opposite of what you expect the people in the music business to be like. They're sound!
We are in unkown territory at the moment having never had to deal with the proper business involved in releasing material, labels, recordings etc but we are certainly in the right hands!
Will keep you updated as and when we know more.
If anyone reading this knows in doin gsomething wrong, please inform me! Im assuming I put up these posts daily as a diary of events. If im doing it wrong, let me know!

What style of music would you call this?
Hello, I am brand new to this blogging malarkey but will give it my best shot. If I do anything horribly wrong or offensive to any bloggers out there, please excuse me, I've only just begun. Let me know and I'll correct myself!
I am in a band called MOONTOWN and we are about to put some tunes up on I-tunes and we need a bit of help.
Basically, we don't quite know what style of music to put us under??!! We've always had this problem. We combine loads of different styles into one and can't put our finger on it.
If anyone would like to tell us or review our music if you like it(or even if you don't) we will send you a free mp3 of one of our up-coming singles! Our myspace account is www.myspace.com/moontownmusic We have just set up a fan site on Facebook too if you want to check us out on that as well!
I hope to not just push our music but meet loads of interesting people on here. I love debating about ANYTHING and love good argument especially on the subjects of music, philosophy, religion, comedy, BEER anything basically so get in touch and I'll be back!
